Business service and authority
Demevo is operated by Demevo These terms apply to business customers across Canada. By accepting, the owner confirms authority to bind the business. The selected offer and this agreement govern the service. Public examples and sample documents are fictional.
Demevo provides request collection, estimates, documents and messaging. It does not perform moves, dispatch crews, reserve capacity, collect moving deposits or enter moving agreements on your behalf. Your quote and your customer’s acceptance may create legal obligations depending on their wording and applicable law. You must arrange and review your own moving agreements.
Your settings and final review
You control and remain responsible for rates, taxes, availability, service scope, configuration, customer notices and commercial conditions. Review the final quote, assumptions and recipient before sending or enabling automatic messages. Incomplete requests, route estimates and photos require human judgment. Photos do not automatically establish a complete inventory.
Keep account details accurate and credentials confidential. Complete required verification and security setup. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. Each party remains responsible for its own statutory obligations and fault.
Trial, subscription and changes
The free trial lasts one calendar month after email verification and required security setup. It requires no payment card and does not automatically become paid. The selected offer and checkout state the price in its stated currency, taxes, billing interval, setup fees, features and storage limits. Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled. Verified provider status controls paid access.
Cancel in Billing to prevent the next renewal. The current paid period is honored. Unused portions of a started period are not refunded except where law requires or a billing error must be corrected. Plan changes follow the offer you expressly confirm.
We give at least 30 days’ notice of a price change before the affected renewal. Material contractual changes require express acceptance and do not replace your accepted terms merely by publication or continued browsing. We honor your current paid period and allow cancellation and export before a change takes effect. Mandatory rights remain applicable.
Records, photos and end of service
Completed requests are automatically deleted, including their photos, PDFs and messages, after two calendar years without business activity. This includes accepted, declined and archived requests and requests recorded as won or lost. A meaningful edit, message, customer response, response review or quote issuance or delivery restarts the period. Viewing a request does not restart it. Future moving dates, responses awaiting review, pending sends, reviewed legal holds and applicable decision-retention periods prevent deletion. Requests without a valid moving date also require two years since closure. Reopening a request stops this cleanup. Export records you need before deletion. Historical reports retain only minimal statistical facts for counts, outcomes, quoted amounts, source categories and sending delays, without customer contact details, addresses, answers or documents. Request details are no longer available after deletion. Account closure follows its separate retention rules.
Photos have no normal 90-day expiry or 30-day expiry on closing a moving request. Existing plan storage and file restrictions apply. We warn at 80% usage and block additional uploads at the limit, including after a downgrade below current usage. We do not remove older photos to free space. Owner deletion, privacy requests and account cleanup still apply.
After confirmed paid service expiry or trial expiry, consultation and export remain available for 30 days. New collection, sending and ordinary editing stop. Billing recovery, security and privacy controls remain available. We send retrieval notices at expiry, seven days and one day before scheduled deletion. Verified renewal before deletion begins cancels expiry cleanup. Uncertain provider status does not authorize destructive cleanup.
After the retrieval deadline, ordinary retrieval ends and eligible information is purged through the deletion and recovery safeguards. Specifically justified financial, rights, decision and legal-hold records can remain with restricted access. Renewing a subscription does not cancel an explicit account deletion request. Contact support before the retrieval deadline. An operator can cancel deletion while the account remains recoverable and deletion has not begun. Billing remains unchanged. Provider cancellation and cleanup may require verified follow-up. Existing invoice balances remain due. Export before the deadline.
Account agreement acceptances and privacy acknowledgments are deleted three calendar years after account closure. An active documented legal hold or unresolved rights case defers this deletion until resolved. Shared legal document versions remain preserved. Deletion is replayed before access resumes after restoring a backup.
Ownership and permitted use
Demevo and its licensors retain ownership of Demevo’s software, branding and standard templates. During authorized access, you receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for your business. Do not copy or resell the service, infringe others’ rights, send spam, upload unlawful content or bypass security and plan limits.
You retain your rights in your data, exports and generated business documents, including after the service ends. You may use and retain those documents for your business. This does not transfer ownership of the software, brand or reusable standard templates. You authorize only the processing needed to deliver the service under the annex below.
We may restrict access proportionately for security, unlawful use, material breach or non-payment. When legally and operationally appropriate, we explain the issue and steps to resolve it. Urgent security restrictions can affect retrieval. No uptime or delivery guarantee applies unless separately agreed in writing.
Liability and customer indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Demevo’s aggregate contractual liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of CAD 500 or subscription fees actually paid by your business during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. To the same permitted extent, liability excludes lost profits, lost opportunities and indirect losses. The cap is aggregate, not renewed for each claim arising from the same event.
No provision excludes or limits liability for intentional or gross fault, bodily or moral injury where applicable, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be restricted. Mandatory protections for contracts of adhesion, including abusive-clause rules in Québec, prevail. These standard signup terms are not described as individually negotiated. The service and provider dependencies may fail, but this does not erase Demevo’s legal duties.
You indemnify Demevo only for third-party claims and reasonable, documented resulting costs caused by your unlawful content or misuse of the service. This does not cover losses attributable to Demevo’s own fault or require reimbursement merely because a customer disagrees with an estimate. Demevo must give reasonable prompt notice and cooperation and allow you to participate in the defense. No settlement imposing an admission, payment or obligation on you may be concluded without your reasonable consent. Mandatory legal limits apply.
Data-processing annex
This annex forms part of the agreement. Your business determines the purposes and necessary information for its customers. Demevo processes customer contact details, locations, moving requirements, photos and documents on documented instructions through authorized settings, support requests and this agreement, solely to deliver, secure and support the service or as required by law. Notify us if an instruction is unlawful. Each party retains its own statutory responsibilities.
Demevo limits access to authorized persons bound by confidentiality and uses proportionate access controls, private file access and security safeguards. Providers are engaged only as needed for hosting, email, mapping and billing under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection commitments. The privacy policy identifies OVH, Mailgun, Google and Stripe and relevant locations. We communicate material subprocessor changes before they take effect where required, allowing reasonable objections and cancellation with export if no reasonable solution is available.
Demevo informs the business without undue delay after learning of a confidentiality or security incident affecting its customer information, provides available information needed to assess it, and cooperates with containment and required notifications. This does not replace either party’s own notification duties. We assist reasonably with verified rights requests, retention and security obligations, without disclosing another customer’s information.
On reasonable notice, Demevo provides relevant information and proportionate verification of compliance with this annex, subject to confidentiality, security and other customers’ rights. Reasonable scope, timing and costs for exceptional assistance may be agreed, without restricting mandatory rights.
At the end of service, you can retrieve and export information during the 30-day period. Eligible information is then deleted or returned, with specific legal, financial, rights or reviewed hold exceptions. Providers and backups follow verified cleanup procedures and deletion replay before restored data can be accessed. No immediate deletion from every provider or backup is promised. Demevo does not use your customer records for its own advertising.
Language, law and contact
The complete French agreement, including this annex, is presented before acceptance. After receiving it, you may expressly choose to contract in English. Changing the interface language does not change the recorded contract language. Demevo preserves the versions and document hashes, acceptance time, accepting owner, company and contract language. Privacy acknowledgment is recorded separately from optional tracking consent.
Québec law and applicable federal Canadian law govern this agreement. Disputes are submitted to competent courts of Québec, subject to mandatory Canadian rights, jurisdiction rules and available remedies. Nothing excludes mandatory protections applicable in another province.
Contact Demevo through the contact below about billing or the agreement. Privacy requests go to the privacy contact identified in the privacy policy. The displayed version applies to new acceptance and does not silently replace an earlier agreement.
