Define the work before the amount
Record the moving date or range, both addresses and the known access conditions. Describe the inventory and list included services. If information is missing, identify it and explain how the estimate may change rather than silently assuming easy access.
A completed price example
For a fictional four-room move, use 0.75 hours per room and $180 per hour for the whole crew. Add 30 minutes of travel at that same rate and $60 for agreed disassembly. Taxes are omitted solely to keep this calculation transparent.
Amounts in this example are Canadian dollars.
| Line | Basis | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Labour | 3 hours × $180 | $540 |
| Travel | 0.5 hour × $180 | $90 |
| Disassembly | Agreed fixed charge | $60 |
| Before-tax total | Fictional example | $690 |
Keep an estimate separate from an invoice
The estimate describes proposed work. The final invoice records the services actually billed. A booking confirmation records availability and the agreement to perform the move. Do not use the three documents interchangeably or imply that receiving an estimate reserves a truck.
Review before sending
Check the total against the line items. If the rate covers the whole crew, do not multiply it by the mover count again. Keep an identifiable revision when the inventory or terms change.
Using the template with Demevo
Demevo collects move details and produces an estimate from your configured rules or owner review. Its sample quote page shows the actual product document. This guide supplies a reusable outline that you can adapt independently.
Compare the template with a generated quote
You can keep using the outline in your editor. To avoid transferring details and amounts into each document, inspect the quote Demevo generates from your rules, then compare plans.
